Any standard PDF file up to 10MB is supported. The tool works best with text-based PDFs such as reports, papers, contracts, and ebooks. Password-protected or scanned image-only PDFs are not supported, and you will receive a clear warning if your file cannot be processed.

Yes, the extracted text from your PDF is sent to the AI as part of the chat context so it can answer your questions accurately. For very large documents, the text is truncated to 15,000 characters with a notice so you are always informed.

This usually means your PDF contains scanned images rather than actual text. Image-based PDFs require OCR processing which is not currently supported. Try using a PDF that was created digitally, such as an exported Word document or a native PDF.
