Sitemap to Robots.txt Generator

A robots.txt file tells search engine crawlers which pages or sections of your site they can or cannot access. It helps you control crawl budget, protect sensitive paths, and ensure bots index only the content you want.

Disallowing a path prevents the bot from crawling it, but it does not guarantee the page will be removed from search results. If other sites link to a disallowed page, it may still appear in results without a snippet. Use noindex meta tags for stronger control.

Crawl-delay tells a bot how many seconds to wait between requests. It can reduce server load during heavy crawling. Note that Googlebot ignores this directive and instead uses its own crawl rate settings in Google Search Console.

Add a Sitemap directive with the full absolute URL, for example: Sitemap: https://example.com/sitemap.xml. You can list multiple sitemaps, one per line, and most major search engines will discover and process them.

Blocking SEO crawler bots like AhrefsBot or SemrushBot will prevent those third-party tools from analyzing your site, but it has no impact on Google or Bing rankings. It is a common choice if you want to keep your site structure private from competitors using those tools.
